The nose reveals notes of ripe black fruit combined with hints of flowers (especially the violet and peony), truffle, mushroom and slight notes of smoke. The palate is fresh, mineral, typical, structured, powerful and a small tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe black fruit, black cherry, plum and slight notes of fig, cherry and licorice combined with a hint of pepper on the finish. The tannins are well done and smooth/suave.
