“Another killer wine from this team, the 2016 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Visitare Interiore Terrae ( V I T ) is 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah (aged in equal parts concrete and demi-muids); it comes from limestone and Gneiss soils around the village of Latour de France. Its inky purple color is followed by a huge wine that offers notes of sweet red and black fruits (black raspberries, blackberries), licorice, toasted spices and crushed flowers. It’s straight up massive, but stays incredibly light, graceful and balanced, with sweet tannin. I suspect this will be the best vintage to date for this cuvee.” #230, The Wine Advocate
