Michel Chapoutier is rightly famous for his outstanding Rhône wines, but his expertise has extended further afield in this corner of southern France as demonstrated by this superb white from deep in the Roussillon countryside. It’s a stunning blend of Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris and Macabeu, wonderfully fresh and bright with a zingy citrus tang, balanced with a smoth rounded mouthfeel.
It’s an excellent, good value aperitif that also pairs really well with seafood and shellfish.
