The 2015 Columella is a sensational wine from Eban Sadie. Composed of Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, Tintan Barroca, Cinsaut and Carignan, this slow unwinds to gorgeous aromas of wild red berries, violets, lavender, spices, white pepper and hints of smoke all take shape. On the palate this is elegant and refined, with a notable austere quality. The medium body is structured with fine, silky tannins, which are underlined by lovely acidity keeping it fresh and inviting through the pretty finish.
